About the Summer Camp
Collaborative Camp at Flood Brook School
July 5, 2010 - August 13, 2010
Each camper’s programming activities are age appropriate and daily activities are based on each week’s theme. Camp is open to kids entering Kindergarten - 8th grade.
Camp runs from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Early and late drop off times are 7:30 am and 5:30 pm and arrangements must be made in advance.
Snacks are provided, but bring your own lunch, please!
Activities that campers participate in include arts, crafts, science, sports, trips to Lowell Lake, fishing and swimming. There is also a Young Writer's week!
Youth Engaged Learning Leadership is open to youth entering 7th and 8th grade. Y.E.L.L. participants assist with camp program activities and work with the younger campers while reinforcing their leadership skills. Y.E.L.L.campers enrich their day by designing their own program.
The Collaborative's Community Garden will once again be a part of the daily activities for campers. Campers will help plant, grow and cultivate produce. Campers will bring home harvested produce to share with their families.
New this year are swim lessons taught by a Certified American Red Cross Instructor. Swim Lessons are available July 5th - July 16th or on Tuesdays and Thursdays after July 16th. Weekly Pot Luck dinners at Weston Rec! Come hang out with your kids and The Collaborative staff and share a dish with other summer campers!
